This link will take you to the North American website of one of our founding partners, the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative – a registered US charity (501c3). At this website you will be given the option to donate to GARDP in the dropdown menu, and will subsequently receive proof of your charitable contribution to our mission to claim as a tax deduction.
Through your donation, you are working with the Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership (GARDP) to make available lifesaving and lifechanging treatments for drug-resistant infections. For every person who needs them. Wherever they live.
Millions of people worldwide are contracting infections and increasingly dying due to the lack of effective antibiotics with drug resistance responsible for more than 700,000 deaths a year. Without urgent action this number will increase exponentially. Resistant bacteria can spread with ease across countries and regions. They can infect anyone, of any age, but it is the most vulnerable – women, children, people with weakened immune systems, those living in countries with weaker health systems, and the elderly – who are hit first and hardest.
Whether you make a one-off contribution or decide to give regularly, your support will be used to drive the development of treatments for the drug-resistant infections that pose the greatest threat to health, protecting our health now and for generations to come.
Antibiotics transformed our world by making previously incurable illnesses treatable and allowing medical procedures like chemotherapy and operations to be performed safely. Millions of lives have been saved and our well-being radically improved. This remarkable progress is threatened by antibiotic resistance and requires an urgent global response.
GARDP mobilizes partners and supporters to develop new and improved antibiotics. With governments, the private sector, academia, civil society and committed people around the world, we are embracing innovative solutions to antibiotic resistance.
When you make a donation to GARDP you become part of this lifesaving mission. For example, your donation supports GARDP to discover new antibacterial ingredients and perform trials for treatments. It also funds critical work to enable access to antibiotics for every person who needs them, so that people in even the most remote places can be safe from disease.
Thank you for your support.
