Cristina Praz joined GARDP as External Relations Consultant in January 2021. She brings over 15 years of experience in donor engagement, resource mobilization and project management in four different countries (Switzerland, Argentina, Tanzania and Cuba) for the United Nations and foundations. Cristina is passionate about leveraging the strengths of partnerships to drive sustainable development and become part of game-changing solutions.
Prior to joining GARDP, Cristina held various positions within the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), first at headquarters level (Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division) and subsequently gained direct exposure to the Organization’s work in the field as an Advocacy, Communication and Partnerships Specialist and subsequently as a Donor Relations Manager.
Cristina also had the opportunity to work for Tanzania’s largest provider of disability and rehabilitation services, the CCBRT Hospital, responsible for all aspects of donors relations and grant’s management.
Her multi-cultural background and experience in a broad range of countries have contributed to her proven ability to quickly established effective working relationship as well as to cultivate, solicit and steward existing and prospective donors.
Cristina earned a Master’s degree in International Relations at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (IHEID) and holds dual Spanish and Swiss nationalities.
