Daniel Xu joined GARDP in January 2022 and currently serves as the Senior Executive Consultant for External Affairs with responsibility in key stakeholder engagement, including securing vital public and private funding and leading the organisation’s communications strategy.
Previously, Daniel led the fundraising and development efforts for Medair, the Swiss international humanitarian organization, in the United States, serving as the Development & Key Relationships Director. Since moving to the UK, Daniel has provided comprehensive leadership to a multidisciplinary development team at the Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), expanding the breadth of its income generation across multiple funding streams.
Prior to working in the humanitarian sector, Daniel held various positions at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), working on project management, product development and advocacy. Before joining IATA, Daniel served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, with distinction. Daniel has an extensive experience in partnership building, multi-stakeholder engagement, resource mobilisation, strategic communication and marketing.
Daniel earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland, and a Bachelors of Arts in International Relations from Sierra Nevada University in the United States.
