Esther Bettiol joined GARDP as Clinical Research Scientist Manager in November 2018 and was promoted to Clinical Scientist -Senior Manager in April 2019.
Prior to joining GARDP, Esther worked in the antibiotic field on Innovative Medicine Initiative (IMI) public-private projects. For 5 years, she led the coordinators’ office of the DRIVE-AB project and provided operational and scientific coordination of COMBACTE STAT-Net, a group of academic and pharma experts aiming to improve the design and analysis of antibiotic clinical trials. She has also experience in orphan drug clinical development, both in the pharmaceutical industry and in the non-profit sector.
Esther obtained an MD degree in 2001 and a PhD in Cell Biology in 2006, both from the University of Geneva. She then underwent postdoctoral training at New York University. Esther is an Expert for Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, for which she evaluates public-private grants in the life science domain.
