Juan Solchaga joined GARDP in January 2019 as External Relations Manager.
Juan has more than 17 years of experience with the UN, INGOs, and the Red Cross Movement in program management and management roles, including public health related projects, and resource mobilization and fundraising. He has extensive and varied field experience including in Syria, Senegal, Kosovo, Sri Lanka, and Palestine and at HQ level, mainly in donor relations roles.
Prior to joining GARDP Juan worked as External Relations and Donor Relations Officer with UNOCHA and UNHCR for about 8 years. He has an in depth understanding of institutional mandates, policies, and guidelines pertaining to resource mobilization.
Juan is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. He holds a Law Degree and a Master on Conflict Resolutions from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, as well as a LLM, Masters in Law, from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
