Dr. Rashmi Mathur has joined GARDP as a Clinical Scientist-Senior Manager, from 1st October 2020. She has over 12 years of experience, 10 years of working as a doctor in India and Switzerland in clinical medicine, paediatrics and neonatology and 3 years of working in Clinical research at ‘Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève’ (HUG) and WHO.
Rashmi Mathur holds a M.D. in Paediatrics, and a Master’s in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine.
Prior to joining GARDP, Rashmi Mathur was working in World Health Organisation in Maternal Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health Department on various research and implementation projects. She has worked on numerous clinical trials targeted at decreasing maternal, newborn and child mortality due to infectious diseases like sepsis and many others.
As a clinician, she has worked in many domains, dealing mainly with infectious diseases and managing challenges related to their diagnosis, treatment, complications and antibiotic resistance.
She brings with her the unique experience and insights developed by working as a clinician and a researcher, in both low-income and high-income settings, in both private and government sector, and at primary secondary and tertiary levels of care.
