Victor Kouassi joined GARDP in August 2019 as Scientific Affairs Officer to work on the REVIVE project.
In 2012, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology with Industrial Experience from the University of Manchester. This included a placement year in the laboratories in the MRC Unit in the Gambia, West Africa where he assisted on the clinical trial of a malaria vaccine candidate. Following this, Victor continued research into malaria, investigating the immune responses to the parasite at the Francis Crick Institute in London. For this, he was awarded a Master of Philosophy degree in Infection & Immunity from University College London.
Following his studies, Victor joined Frontiers, an academic publisher based in Switzerland where he worked on a range of open access journals including Frontiers in Immunology and Frontiers in Public Health. Here, he regularly collaborated with scientists around the world to launch and develop collections of articles, ensure they were published in the right quality and promoted world-wide
