REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL for Services in synthetic chemistry, compound management, microbiology, in vitro drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and toxicity

23 February 2024

To address critical gaps in the global pipeline GARDP has set up a Discovery & Exploratory Research (DER) programme that focuses on the discovery of novel classes of antibiotics with activity against multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii and Klebsiella pneumoniae, two pathogens on WHO’s priority list of bacteria for which there is a critical need for new treatments.
The goal of the project is to provide GARDP’s Discovery & Exploratory Research (DER) programme access to high quality synthetic chemistry, compound management, microbiology and in vitro drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and toxicity services to support the Drug Discovery portfolio of projects aimed at discovering novel treatments for serious bacterial infections caused by WHO critical and high priority pathogens.
