With the EU and its Member States playing an increasingly central role in shaping health, research, and global development policy, Brussels is a strategic hub for political advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and fundraising.

To strengthen its presence, GARDP seeks to engage a Brussels-based consultant to provide political advisory, advocacy, and representation across EU institutions, Member State Permanent Representations, the European Parliament, and the wider Brussels ecosystem (civil society, think tanks, private sector, funders, media).

Objectives of the assignment

• Elevate GARDP’s profile in Brussels among EU institutions, Member States, and key opinion leaders.
• Identify and act on opportunities for policy advice, advocacy and funding aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide political intelligence and strategic advice on EU health, research & innovation (R&I), AMR, and wider political/funding developments.
• Support relationship building with Permanent Representations, MEPs, Commission officials, and relevant networks.
