Astrid Pentz-Murr joined GARDP in January 2018 as Junior Community Manager in GARDP’s Antimicrobial Memory Recovery and Exploratory Programme. Specifically, Astrid manages the programme’s REVIVE hub – an active online hub for sharing scientific knowledge on antibiotic research and development.
After graduating from the University of Vienna with an MSc in Molecular Biology, Astrid worked at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research in Basel in the field of breast cancer research. From here, she joined Weber Shandwick, a global communications and PR agency based in Geneva, as part of their healthcare team. Her clients included pharmaceutical companies for whom she was able to combine her scientific background and knowledge with communicating public health and life science messages to different audiences.
