Dr. Christelle Schaffer joined GARDP as Alliance and Project Senior Manager on 1st August 2021. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Reims in France. She has over 20 years of experience as a Scientist and Project Manager acquired in international companies in Switzerland and Austria.
Prior to joining GARDP Christelle worked 15 years at Nestlé as a Research Scientist and developed further as Project Manager. She oversaw complex R&D projects including the development of key partnerships and clinical trials. In Austria she worked in different Biotechnology companies in the field of vaccine Development from early pre-clinical stage to late-stage Phase 3 clinical trials, Market Access and Product Launch. In her 2 last appointments Christelle was managing projects funded by CEPI (Coalition for Epidemiologic Preparedness Innovation) to accelerate the development and availability of vaccines for LMICs. In these roles she was in charge of developing the partnership with the LMIC partner and funding partner and ensured the execution of the development plans.
Her multi-cultural background and experience in a wide range of countries and fast-moving, cross-functional environments, have contributed to her proven ability to successfully lead complex interdisciplinary projects with external partners worldwide including the private sector.
