Laurent Fraisse

Dr Laurent Fraisse joined DNDi as Research & Development Director in October 2019.
Laurent has worked in the field of infectious diseases since 2002. Prior to joining DNDi, Laurent worked as Research Scientist at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Strasbourg and at the Technical University in Munich, before taking responsibility for research projects within Elf Atochem and then Sanofi as Head of the Infectious Diseases Therapeutic Unit and R&D Head for Infectious Diseases, aimed at addressing high unmet medical needs in bacterial, parasitic, and viral related infections. Most recently, Laurent worked as the Global Head of Infectious Disease R&D at Evotec. Laurent also took the role of chair of the EFPIA Strategic Governing Group dedicated to infectious diseases.

Laurent graduated from l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agronomie, Rennes, France. He obtained his PhD in Biotechnology at the Institut National Polytechnique in Toulouse in 1993.
