スイスに本部を置く非営利団体のグローバル抗菌薬研究開発パートナーシップ(GARDP)はこのほど、りん病の新たな抗菌薬が米食品医薬品局（FDA）の承認を得たと発表した。世界初となる飲み薬で、りん病の薬が承認されたのは数十年ぶり。りん病は既存の抗菌薬に耐性をもつ耐性菌が広がっており、世界的な課題となっていた。
