There is a paucity of Neisseria gonorrhoeae antimicrobial resistance data from resource-constrained settings because of the lack of diagnostic testing and limited scale of surveillance programs. This study aimed to determine the antimicrobial resistance profile of N. gonorrhoeae in the rural Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
